Table of ContentsFast-growth Strategies
Slow-growth strategies
|
Fast-growth strategies are best to follow if you're after elder harvests, or if you have reseeding or proliferating plants. These strategies boost plant growth to the maximum to get them to elder as fast as possible. To prepare a fast-growth setup, here is a short list of all necessities:
|
The reseeding strategy encourages reseeding or proliferating plants to reach elder quickly. It requires very little micromanagement and your only real requirement is ensuring the plants are healthy and need/pest free on their journey to elder.
- Most gold-efficient strategy
- Requires little micromanagement
- Plants should occupy outdoor space before using indoor space
- Reseed (have one seed drop guaranteed)
- Proliferate (drop extra seeds during their lifecycle in addition to reseeding)
- The plant does not reseed
The elder harvesting strategy encourages reseeding plants to reach elder as quickly as possible, without reaping mature harvests. It requires less micromanagement than the reseeding strategy. Your goal is to get your plants to mature as fast as possible, and then not visit them for 1-3 days so that they reach elder by your next visit. As a result, you skip the mature harvests and avoid spending energy tending to the needs of your mature plants.
- Requires little micromanagement
- Plants should occupy indoor space only, unless all four 69 plots are using this strategy
- Must be grown separate from other strategies; All plants in the same instance (outdoors/indoors) must use this strategy
- Have more desirable elder drops, or undesirable mature drops
- Are very needy and consume a lot of energy
- The plant reseeds AND it is not very needy (use 'reseeding' strategy)
- The plant proliferates (use 'reseeding' strategy)
- Most of the plant's value is in it's mature drops (use slow elder-harvesting or wilt-and-reive instead)
Slow-growth strategies are best to follow if you're after mature harvests. NEVER use reseeding plants under the below strategies. These strategies slow plants to delay their process to elder in order to reap as many mature harvests as possible. To prepare a slow-growth setup, here is a short list of all necessities:
- A slow-growth castle, i.e. NOT a Red Barn Farm, Botanical Garden or Everafter Village
- No Red Garden Gnomes
- Stinkweed, Desparagus, and all appropriate plant dislikes
The slow elder harvesting strategy encourages plants to grow as slowly as possible to reap mature harvests, and eventually reap a single elder harvest. This strategy is more intensive than the fast-growth strategies. You want to visit your plant frequently to reap their mature harvests before the plant reaches elder, but there is no real loss since your final goal is reaping the elder harvest.
- Requires some micromanagement (if you want to benefit from this strategy)
- Plants should occupy outdoor space first before using indoor space
- Has equally desirable mature and elder drops
- Do not reseed
- The plant reseeds
- The plant's value is in its mature drops (use wilt-and-revive instead)
The wilt-and-revive strategy encourages plants to grow to mature and then wilt right before reaching elder in order to reset their growth progress via tending. This strategy is highly intensive. You first grow your plants to mature, then visit them frequently, tending to any needs they have and reaping mature harvests. Once their progress to elder meter is almost full, don't tend to any needs and don't visit the plants for at least 12 hours so that they wilt the next time you visit them. Tending to their needs at this point will revert them to young, allowing them to grow back to mature and allowing you to reap more harvests. Do this until the plant's "time until next harvest" does not show anymore; this means that the plant is out of mature harvests.
- Requires a lot of micromanagement (you cannot leave your plants unattended for more than 3 days at a time)
- Plants should occupy indoor space first before using outdoor space
- Have extremely desirable mature drops
- Do not reseed
- The plant reseeds
- All or equal value is in the plants' elder drops (use 'elder-harvesting' or 'slow elder-harvesting' strategies)
